The John T. Way Global Education Foundation, Inc. is dedicated to building international educational programs that empower youth, encourage healthy regional economic expansion, and promote cultural and intellectual exchange between nations.
In 2007, our opening year of operations, the Foundation will work to support its first major partner—the Atitlán Multicultural Academy in Panajachel, Guatemala. Located in the Kaqchikel Mayan highlands of Guatemala, “AMA” is a highly progressive, socially conscious international school that works every day to give the Foundation’s greater vision life.
Please read through our website to find out how you can send a Mayan child to AMA, help our lab and library, or contribute to a teaching fellowship. The Foundation’s guiding slogan is “Aquí Me Quedo,” or “I’m Staying Here.” Over the years ahead, we will work with Guatemalans and the Mayan community in particular to bring education, opportunity and hope to this magical region of the planet.
